Scott is one of the Founders and Partners of Skyline Pacific Properties, a private real estate investment company established to acquire and develop commercial real estate throughout the United States. Throughout his career, Scott has been involved with over $1 billion in real estate transactions.
From 1988 to 1994 Scott served as Asset Manager for Rue-Ell Enterprises, Inc., a family-owned real estate development and management company that own over 55 retail and office properties in California totaling approximately 420,000 square feet. As Asset Manager Scott oversaw leasing, building development and acquisitions. In 1989, Scott also established a development company to develop residential property in the East Bay. The development company purchased land, built and sold custom homes from 1989 through 1991.
Scott is a licensed Real Estate Broker and General Contractor in the state of California and has served on numerous boards including the Berkeley Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Berkeley Association.
D. Scott Ruegg earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1983. Upon graduating from the University of Colorado, Scott was the head boy's varsity basketball coach at the Head-Royce School through 1988.
